In order to assure safe operation and reduce the dangers of outdoor fireplaces, it is recommended that they be kept away from anything that is combustible and not placed any closer than ten feet from the house or other combustibles. Additionally, before retiring for the night, the homeowners should ascertain that the fire is completely out.
An outdoor fireplace can be a nice addition to your home, but you have to be willing to take the extra precautions that are necessary. I think the description should make it clear of the stone content. It looks like a stone pot from the outside,but definitely not on the inside. It seems like the small amount of stone is in the paint on the outside only. So doesn't feel vakue for money when you handle them. Also it says can be usef inside or outside, but is imprinted on the Base as part of the mould that you have to drill through the Base if using outside. I have since been told this revokes the warranty. Can this be right?????
